Strategic Development - Goals, Aims and Objectives by Managing Director John Jessimer
As we approach the halfway point of 2022, It feels an appropriate time to update Starfish Construction employees, our customers and supply chain partners with our objectives for the coming year.
The past few years have presented challenges for many across varied business sectors and our personal lives, but I am encouraged to see a renewed resolve shine through. At Starfish Construction, there is certainly positivity around our teams.
We all had to adapt, be flexible and resourceful due to challenges including COVID-19, lockdown, Brexit uncertainty, and of course, a feeling of uncertainty with finances. The unprecedented rise in energy costs has recently created an extra strain on businesses and the general population. Although Starfish Construction and our employees faced challenges like many organisations, our business structure provided the platform for us to embrace new ways of working.
We are a sustainable, financially robust company, and these facts are pivotal to where we are today.

Some highlights that encourage me are:
- Over the previous two years, we have grown our current order book to £47 million.
- We are on track for a turnover target of £20 million.
- We have exciting growth plans for our current operational hubs and further strategic expansion throughout the UK.
- Our teams continue to develop, with new employees joining and adding excellent value to the business and customer projects.
- Starfish Environmental and Asbestos Services division adds another service support dimension to our customer offering.
